The new iPad will boast a 1ghz dual core chip and will be more powerful to handle more graphic rich apps. It will also feature HDMI out wich is good, but as with all aplle products, you need to purchase an adapter for use of that feature, the adapter is also compatable with other iOS devices.
The battery will have a 10 hour life-span which is pretty good considering the battery life of most tablets out there on the market today.
The new iPad is 33% thinner, and much lighter than the old one, and with a front facing camera, you can video chat face to face with all of your friends using facetime, or tango, or any other app that supports face to face calling.
This new iPad will be realeasing with a new iOS, which will deliver better performance, and add new features such as wifi teathering, which will be no good using AT&T's 3G, Thats right! No 4G iPad yet...
It looks like a strong contender in th tablet wars, starting at $499 for the WiFi only model, and a starting price of $629 for 3G+WiFi

Looks like Apple is keeping up with the other tablets, but I'm not too convinced that I need to buy one just yet. I think I'll wait til the new HTC Flyer comes out and I'll look at my options.
I've never been to keen on Apple, but they just might be changing my mind
